Venus Williams has added another stop to her 2026 schedulewith tournament organizers confirming her access ATX Open in Austin.

The upcoming event will be her fourth competition of the yeara notable increase in activity compared to last season, when she took part in just three tournaments in total. Williams matched that number in January alone, stepping onto the field Auckland, Hobart and at the Australian Open. Those performances did not result in wins, as the 45-year-old legend exited all three events in the opening round and currently sits at No. 549 in the WTA rankings.
Her next chance to compete will come when the Austin tournament starts February 23, 2026. It will be Williams’ first time playing the Texas-based WTA 250, a relatively new addition to the tour that debuted in 2023. According to Axiosshe will compete in both singles and doubles.
The 2026 Austin field will be the tournament’s strongest field yet. World number 6 Jessica Pegula returns as defending champion, while teenage talent Iva Jovic continues her meteoric rise after advancing to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open. Peyton Stearns and Ajla Tomljanovic will also be there.
