Australian actor, stuntman and choreographer Richard Norton died, aged 75 years.

Norton, who held black straps in Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, has been involved in more than 80 films since the 1970s and worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. During his career, Norton helped to train star actors, including Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Sophie Turner, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie, Charlie Hunnam and Liam Neeson.

His wife Judy Green confirmed that Norton died on Sunday at home in Melbourne in an Instagram post.

“I am numb and destroyed, I have no words that I lost my everything,” said Mrs. Green.

“I know that is, and will be a lot of love and shock that we have lost this incredible person.”

ABC reports that Norton was born in Croydon, Sydney in 1950 and began to study martial arts as a child in the sixties, training in Judo and Karate before taking work as a guard on live tours.

He landed a job as a bodyguard to the Rolling Stones during the Australian tour of the band and trained with Mick Jagger in 4:00 am after concerts. His clientele would later include James Taylor, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie and Linda Ronstadt, who invited him as her bodyguard in California.

A friendship with Chuck Norris brought him work on films. Norris Cast Norton as the deadly Kyo, a masked Ninja, in The octagon.

He was hired as a fighting coordinator in the Norris television show Walker, Texas Ranger In 1993, and appeared in guest roles in eight episodes of the show.

Norton was also a mainstay in the action scene of Hong Kong, who appeared in such films as Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars And Millionaire’s ExpressOpposite icon Sammo Hung.

In recent years, Norton passed on his knowledge of martial arts to a series of modern film stars, including Margot Robbie and Will Smith on 2016s Suicide Squad and Charlize Theron for Mad Max: Fury Road In 2015, where he also played a short role as the most important imperator.

In a post on Instagram, Chuck Norris said that he was deeply saddened by the loss of his “friend and brother”.

“The wonderful memories we shared will be cherished in my heart forever,” he said.

“Richard, you not only made me a better martial artist, but also a better person.”
