Sixteen Australians will participate in the American open qualification, which starts on Tuesday morning (AEST).
Priscilla Hon and James Duckworth Headline The group that wants to expand the main Draw of Australia than 14.
HON arrives in New York hoping to continue her Grand Slam form. In June, the 27-year-old qualified for the first time for Wimbledon in seven attempts.
The Queenslander has saved five match points in the last qualifying round against the Canadian open champion Victoria Mboko to continue. HON focuses on our open qualification for the second consecutive year.
She is one of the 10 Australian women who qualify in qualifying. Destanee Aiava and Daria Saville try to replicate their eligible efforts 2024, while Storm Hunter competes in US Open qualification for the first time since 2013.
Olivia Gadecki, Astra Sharma, Maddison Inglis, Emerson Jones, Lizette Cabrera and Arina Rodionova will also occur.
In the qualification of men, Duckworth arrives as the number 5 seed after his impressive North -American hard courts -swing.
Because he pushed Felix auger-aliassime on five sets in the opening round in Wimbledon, the 33-year-old went to his first ATP quarter final of 2025 in Los Cabos and reached the Canadian open second round. Duckworth wants to compete in his sixth consecutive US.
James McCabe, Bernard Tomic, Jason Kubler, Omar Jasika and Alex Bolt are also in the position of the head.
Tomic will be released this week this week in seven years after strong performance on Challenger Level. The 32-year-old went on to the final in Lexington, Kentucky and Barranquilla, Colombia.
In the meantime, Kubler competes in his first tournament since Wimbledon qualifies in June.
During the ATP tour this week, Chris O’Connell, Adam Walton and Aleksandar Vukic compete in the main drawing of Winston-Salem in North Carolina.
During the WTA tour, Maya Joint, Kimberly Birrell and Talia Gibson are fighting in Cleveland, while Ajla Tomljanovic flags in Monterrey, Mexico.
