Sparks flew early as Ragtime Red and driver Trae Porter aggressively parked 1/1 betting favorite Jett Propelled and Huntress three wide into the first corner. Huntress took the lead after the quarter in 26.3. Ragtime Red skirmished a second time and was parked at Huntress’ throat as both mares fought through the half in 54.4, a quarter of 28.1.
Huntress was empty and racing into the back lane. Ragtime Red stormed past a tiring Huntress to open a three-quarter lead in 1:23.1, a quarter of 28.2.
The outer layer was in flight when Huntress began to back up. Disturbed Hanover raced first, Lofty Treasure ran second and Melody Hanover third. In case you didn’t know, three wide with her furious close.
At the top of the stretch, Ragtime Red remained in the lead, but then saw a fast approaching Disturbed Hanover shoot past her at the wire.
Disturbed Hanover won by a neck in 1:52.1 and paid $64.60 for the win.
CRAZY HANOVER REPETITION
Ragtime Red raced stubbornly to finish second and Incaseyoudidntknow took the show spot.
Disturbed Hanover (Big Jim) is owned by The Wiz Kids Stable LLC of Dover, Delaware. W.Bart Dalious trained and his son Barton Dalious rode. Tim Tetrick and Pat Berry scored triples that night.
All eyes will be on Bally’s Dover on Thursday.
The $110,000 DSBF final for 2-year-old stallions and geldings Pacers takes place during the 8th race.
There are two divisions of the Progress Pace eliminations that will be contested in races 12 and 14. The top four horses in each elimination and in the official order of finish will compete in the Progress Pace Final on Wednesday, November 26. Eight horses will have their noses on the fence competing for an estimated purse of $250,000
