New adventures are waiting for child aunt Emma, Elsa packed eight bags for a weekend in Uppsala. We install ourselves in the guest room and start the weekend with Friday evening, Tacos of course.

Sävja 4H Farm

Saturday starts with a trip to Sävja 4H Farm, the last addition of the three association farms from Uppsala. 4hA more than 100 year old children’s and youth organization that consists of the eighties in countries.

4h stands for head, heart, hand and health. The vision is that children and young people must develop into dedicated and responsible people with respect for the outside world. A good vision I think.

At Sävjagården it is quiet and peaceful, not many visitors in the morning. The horses chew hay, it is clean and tidy in the boxes.

The goats let themselves be scratched and they have a lot of space. A free chicken with a whole lot of week pick -chickens picking around the ground. Life in the countryside too.

4H has daily activities, row camps and day camps, informs the website.

Botanical Garden in Uppsala

Botanical garden Is a lisa for the soul, where I have been an endless mass of times and every time I discover something new.

We start with a Goofika in Café Victoria, there is enough to choose from and it tastes just like a real Swedish coffee.

Tropical greenhouse dallers of heat and moisture, there is a lot in bloom and it is a pleasure for the eyes and exciting for the grandchildren to navigate on the small corridors, such as in a jungle!

We come through different climate zones, in the tropical part we look at the cocoa tree with its hungry fruits, exploring the goldfish that swims between the gigantic oak that has thick buttons.

Eating insects plants are exciting.

In the moderate zone we find begonias and rose screens.

The desert plants may seem sad, but when they disable their large BL0mmor, it is a spectacle.

Welwitchian is in a closed cupboard, a very strange plant that can be more than a thousand, is old and is found in its natural environment in the Namibia desert. Welwitchia only gets two leaves throughout his life and it is of great importance in the popular faith.

Around the tropical greenhouse you can walk through the beautiful park, even here with themes such as pole plants and kitchen plants. We look at beans and cabbage in all its forms.

The palm house was closed for the day, but because I know there are many nice Mediterranean plants as well as another cactus collection.

The day was over and that also applies to my Swedish vacation, now it is just to find out new adventures for the visit of the next grandmother.
