Welcome friends at the Turk blog. The Turk has its methods and they work for me. One of those methods that I use is not to allow a bias in my disability. Years ago I had a subscription to Bloodhorse, a wonderful magazine, and I would read about the horses, the trainers and the connections and prejudices would form. I am a fool for a good story, who is not? I am also a degenerate gambler and there is no place in gambling for prejudices because the horse is called to someone in memory. I am not a robot, I love a good story about human interest, just after I had my bets disabled and place. Occasionally that works against me, because I think I was one of the few people who did not realize Mind frame would be scratched. In general, I would “also enter” with a date on my earlier versions and then I know it is a chance, but this is a rare situation in which two horses, trained by the same trainer, mainly owned the same people, entered the same race that was planning to scratch one or the other. I don’t think it’s good for horse races for the best not to make the best, but whatever.
