The clock is ticking on the Nike Book 1 era, but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the many player exclusives that helped define that era. Few athletes embody the PE spirit as much as PJ Tucker – a certified sneakerhead and walking archive of Nike heat. Over the nearly two years of Book 1’s existence, Tucker has amassed an impressive number of exclusives, including a “Chapter 0” edition, a mismatched “Texas vs. Kentucky” pair, and a pastel set for the 2024 playoffs.
This newly discovered duo is based on one of Nike Basketball’s most legendary lines: the Foamposite. Tapping into the brand’s own archives has been a recurring theme throughout Book 1’s lifecycle, with nods to icons like the Air Max 95 and ACG classics to name a few. I’m thinking of two sneakers here: the Foamposite One “Royal” and the Foamposite One “Light Orewood Brown”. Each pair features a leather base, black accents on the tongue, collar and eyelets, and Swoosh logos that reflect Foamposite’s signature carbon fiber detailing.
It’s unlikely that these will see a public release, especially now that the Nike Book 1 is starting to take off. Devin Booker has already been spotted in practice wearing the Nike Book 2, and the sequel will make its official debut in Spring 2026.
