United Spirits shares in Focus After the first quarter of the profit, 14% decreases despite the revenue growth

Shares of United Spirits will be attention on Thursday after the Drinkmaker controlled by Demono has posted a decrease of 14% in consolidated net profit for RS 417 Crore for the quarter of FY26 in June, even when income ran higher on steady growth in the alcohol and sports companies of the nuclear banks.

United Spirits Ltd (USL) reported Wednesday that his net profit for the quarter ending on June 30 fell from RS 485 Crore a year earlier to RS 417 Crore, according to a regulatory application. Turnover from the activities increased marginal to RS 6,295 Crore, an increase in RS 6,238 crore in the corresponding period last tax, while the total costs increased by 2.79% to RS 5,776 Crore.


The company said that in June the EBITDA was RS 644 Crore, a decrease of 9.7%, largely due to a one -off indirect tax item influence and relatively higher A&P in the independent activities.

Business performance

The income from the drink alcohol segment of USL climbed by 8.37% to RS 2,549 Crore. The subsidiary, Royal Challenge Sports Private LTD (RCSPL), which owns the RCB teams in the IPL and WPL, recorded an increase in the turnover of 15.73% compared to RS 478 Crore.

Consolidated net turnover value grew by 9.4% to RS 3,021 Crore, driven by the growth of 8.4% in the independent activities and 15.7% reported the growth of the sports activities housed in the 100% subsidiary RCSPL, the company said.

The prestige & upper segment contributed to 88.3% of the net turnover in the quarter, while the popular segment, accounting for 9.8% of the net turnover, grew by 13.6%. The total income was RS 6,367 Crore, an increase of 1.5% on an annual basis.

Management view


“We have delivered a resilient quarter with the Prestige & Boven Portfolio that retains its growth momentum, while we cycle a highest annual base.
