United Roar Returns: Three consecutive games for the Red Devils

Manchester United has been on fire since Saturday. They defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 at Old Trafford. It is the third win in a row in the Premier League. The atmosphere at Old Trafford is lighter. The tactics are working well and the goals are coming in. Let’s see how the game unfolded. Also what it means – and what still needs to be resolved.

Early attack sets the tone

United scored first. Matheus Cunha scored a screamer in the 24th minute. It was his first goal for the club. A neat finish from far out of the penalty area. Ten minutes later, Casemiro got United’s second. This was a clear failed attempt. At halftime it was 2-0 for the Red Devils.

United Take control

In the second half the Man united performed again. Around the 61st minute, Bryan Mbeumo scored United’s third goal. They were ahead 3-0. United were in the lead. At this point the momentum had shifted. The crowd could feel it.

Brighton’s Fightback and United’s Nerve

But this was not an easy ride. Brighton scored in the 74th minute. Welbeck scored the free kick. They came even closer in stoppage time when Kostoulas headed in to make it 3-2. The tension returned. Fortunately for United, Mbeumo added his new goal in extra time. This sealed the match at 4-2.

Momentum regained and what it means

This win lifts United into fourth place (at least temporarily) and gives them real confidence under manager Rúben Amorim. He mentioned the result “more complete” then last week’s win over Liverpool. Meanwhile, Brighton’s unbeaten run at Old Trafford comes to an end; this was their first defeat there in three visits.

Author insight

United is back on a positive path. The first goals showed attacking intent, the third calmed the nerves and although the late scare exposed some vulnerability, they held firm. The big plus? New signings such as Cunha and Mbeumo deliver results when it matters. The caveat? They will have to tighten up defensively to avoid giving away such games late. If they continue to grow, there is reason for optimism. Especially when trust returns, anything is possible.
