UNI Skyrockets by Double Digits, BTC Price Looks $89K: Weekend Watch

NIGHT is today’s highlight.

Most larger cap altcoins are quite slow on a daily scale, which is to be expected on Sunday. UNI, CC, NIGHT and ICP have emerged as the biggest winners today.

BTC touched $89,000

Last week was expected to be a volatile one, and it was. It all started on Monday afternoon when BTC fell from $90,000 to less than $86,000 in just a few hours. After a small rebound to $88,000, the asset went on the attack on Wednesday, shooting up to $90,400.

However, that was another sham as the bears immediately regained control and pushed the price south below $85,500. Then came Thursday and the release of US CPI data for November was much better than expected. BTC rose to $89,500, but the rejection scenario repeated itself.

This time, the subsequent retracement took the cryptocurrency to a multi-month low of $84,500. Nevertheless, another relief rally ensued, and BTC spiked to $89,500 on Friday. Although the price was halted there, the price remained largely above $88,000 and briefly touched $89,000 earlier today.

Its market cap is almost $1.770 trillion, while its dominance over alts is well above 57%.

UNI on the run

As mentioned above, most larger cap alts have been quite quiet over the past day. ETH is approaching $3,000, BNB near $860, while XRP remains above $1.90. SOL, ADA, BCH, LINK, ZEC and DOGE are slightly in the red, while XMR and TRX are up 2-3%.

NIGHT has risen the most among the top 100 altcoins, up more than 30% to $0.09. UNI follows suit, with a 10% pump pushing the stock to $6.30. CC, QNT and ICP have also posted impressive gains.

The total crypto market cap added another $20 billion overnight and stands at almost $3.1 trillion on CG.
