The resolution was adopted with 145 before, five against (Israel, Nauru, Palau, Paraguay and the United States) and six withdrawals (Albania, Fiji, Hungary, North Macedonia, Panama and Papua -Guinea).
It describes procedures for the delivery of pre -recorded statements and authorizes President Abbas to submit his address via Video in the General Meeting Hall, introduced by one of the New York representatives of Palestine.
The measure also makes statements possible via a live link or pre -recorded video to the high -level conference that takes place on the two -state solution and other high -level meetings.
The schemes only apply to the current 80th session.
In another action, the 193 members meeting made a Saudi-Arab-proposed decision without a vote, with which the Saudi crown prince and prime minister, Mohammed Bin Salman, allowed a statement per video or pre-recorded message at the high-level conference on 22 September 2025.
The US Department of Foreign Affairs announced on 29 August that the Visa denied and deprived of members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian authority in the field of national security grounds, which stated that they had not complied with earlier obligations and “for undermining the prospects for peace.”
