The ambassador of Ukraine in the United Kingdom has concluded claims that he “quietly prepares a run for the president” from his head office in London and replaces Volodymyr Zelensky as a peace agreement with Russia.
The General Valerii Zaluzuzhnyi team was forced to tackle the claims on Wednesday and stated that “there is no campaign quarter”.
It follows claims of a journalist who “his head office is already active in London and the recruitment is underway”, reports The daily mail.
According to the journalist, in -sources had claimed that his campaign “started” after the current President Zensky had proposed the American President Donald Trump, that elections on the horizon could be.
Zaluzhnyi, lovingly known as the Iron General, would probably be the most popular competition who has a chance to secure the victory, where many Ukrainians still keep him to a large extent for his heroic defense of KYIV in 2022 when the war broke out for the first time.
He was then replaced by Oleksandr Syrskyi as supreme commander and, instead in July last year, assigned as a Ukrainian ambassador in the UK.
Freelance journalist Katie Livingstone had revealed her sources that the Ukrainian opposition -Member of Parliament Viktoria Siumar would lead every campaign, with former BBC Ukraine reporter Oksana Torop who used his press.
KYIV post-correspondent Jason Jay Smart also supports a backup and repeated the claims and added: “Sources indicate that he gave his team to his team more than a month ago to plan his campaign.”
But despite the insistence of the press, Mrs. Torop denied the rumors last night. She said to Ukraine’s new voice: “There is no question of a campaign quarter.
“Valerii Zaluzhnyi has declared his position more than once, and as far as I know, it has not changed: while the war continues, we should not work to keep the country, not to think about elections.”
According to a recent poll, Zaluzhnyi is the most trusted public figure of Ukraine with an approval classification of 73 percent compared to 67 percent for Zensky.
