Chael Sonnen supports the decision of his ESPN-CO-Host to leave Jon Jones from his MMA goat list.

During a recent appearance Club ShayDaniel Cormier ‘Bones’ assumed his all -time list of the greatest mixed martial artists, who called Jones’ history of prohibited substance abuse as the most important reason for his exclusion.

Jones quickly commented on Cormier’s comments, Writing on X: “When DC tells his story, I am always the co-star in one way or another.” Cormier’s Good Guy/Bad Guy Co-Star, however, quickly came to the defense of Cormier.

“Everyone is about that path where they cheat on the rules, because they had the uncertainty somewhere,” Sonen said. “They wanted a lead somewhere and then they came back, go,” but I could have done it anyway. ” Well, maybe you didn’t think you could do it.

“Jon is really upset about that. He does not deny the hit-and-runs. He does not deny the cocaine racks. That is the one who bothers him the picogram and the couple of failed tests. I believe that Jon could have been Jon of the world without steroids, but somewhere in him, he doubted that the life.”

It is impossible to deny that Cormier still has some personal hostility towards Jones. Finally, two positive tests from Jones came immediately before or after their planned fights in the Octagon.

The first happened less than a month before their deleted Rematch on UFC 200. ‘Bones’ was eventually suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for a year and was immediately stripped of the Interim light heavyweight championship.

On July 29, 2017, Jones and ‘DC’ finally met for the second time in the Octagon at UFC 214. ‘Bones’ won the fight through a third round of TKO, although the result was later destroyed after it was revealed that Jones was positive on Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, immediately after the weighting.

The light heavyweight title was then taken from Jones and returned to Cormier.

Cormier continued his name in the history books and became one of only four hunters who have two UFC titles at the same time. But despite all his success, it is clear that his two losses against Jones still live freely in his head.
