The Russian heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich will make two victories in a row this Saturday when it is opposite Waldo Cortes-Acosta on UFC Shanghai.
Pavlovich (19-3) saw his last fight make a two-way Skid, who went the distance for a decision victory over Jair Rose bush, his first victory over the score cards since 2017. His previous six victories came with an interruption, which is an eyebrow, but there is a reason, the Russian during the UFC Shanghai.

Regarding the outcome of his fight with Cortes-Acosta and where it leaves him, the promotion has not officially said anything. “Not a single conversations yet, but then we will see what is happening. Everything is possible.”
Later Pavlovich would hit his ultimate goal, and the need to be entertaining to reach the title.
“The goal is clearly the belt. Sometimes you get exciting battles, sometimes the battles are not that exciting. You can’t really predict a knockout. A knockout is something that comes unexpectedly. I am ready for all three rounds. I will make sure that I can show an exciting fight, a fight that everyone will like, and then we will see what happens on Saturday.”
A former enemy of Sergei Pavlovich now has the undisputed heavyweight title of the UFC. That would be Tom Aspinall, who then faces Ciryl Gane. Pavlovich was quite clear about who he chooses to win that fight.
“I think Aspinall will win,” he said.
