The UFC found Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes last April so much, they’ve decided to do it a second time, with the rematch headlining this Saturday’s UFC 325 in Sydney, Australia.
Two straight weeks of numbered UFC events is a rarity, but this 1-2 punch marks both the Paramount+ era and the end of the Pay-Per-View format in the United States. That means fans won’t be asked to open their wallets in consecutive weeks, a much more pleasant situation. Unless you’re in one of the few areas (hello Canada!) that still charges top dollar for UFC cards.
For champion Volkanovski, this is his second straight fight with Lopes, although Diego Lopes jumped back into the win column with a finish of Jean Silva since their first meeting.
