Las Vegas – Cory Sandhagen finally gets his chance for the undisputed Bantamweight title of the UFC this Saturday at UFC 320.

The 33-year-old has previously fought for Interim-Gold, but takes the next step in his career, although he knows it is far from the last.

“I think when I win this belt on Saturday, I still have a lot of hard work after this,” Sandhagen (18-5) told media, including Cageside Press during the UFC 320 Media Day of this week. “So I’m not going to stay that way, if they are super proud or be super pumped. Because I know that even after I am a world champion, I still have a long way to succeed in what I want to succeed.”

Sandhagen has made some adjustments of earlier fights, including not overly fixed on his opponent, as he did with Umar Nurmagomedov.

“I am a bit wrong with my brain, which I know for sure that many of you can tell, but it sometimes makes me superhypergericht on things. I am sometimes really hyper -oriented on what Umar does instead of what I do that I do. And so I don’t make that mistake again for this,” Sandhagen promised. “The majority of this camp made me better in what I do, and then to be clearly prepared for the pieces that Merab is going to bring. But it has been a lot of focus on me and making sure I am the best.”

Although his attention is entirely on Merab Dvalishvili, who has had a great run as a champion so far, it is difficult to ignore the callouts of Sean O’Malley. One of the largest 135 LB stars in the UFC. O’Malley has a fight with Sandhagen conscience during the White House event next year.

At least it seems to be Sandhagen as the only interest. “Yes for sure. I really want to be a really active man,” he said Cageside Press. ‘Umar and [Petr] Yan is higher on my list than O’Malley is, just because those boys have victories on me. And again, looking back on my career, I don’t want to say that those guys win over me. So they are higher on the list, but I know that the fans are super crazy about looking at me and O’Malley fights. And when that fight happens, I hope it is on a large stage like the White House for a belt. So that is absolutely welcome. “
