In this article we build the best Wildcard team for UCL Fantasy Matchday 7targeting teams with strong clean-sheet potential, premium in-form attackers and value picks that can help unlock the biggest hitters as the race to the knockout rounds heats up.

MATCH 7 WILDCARD

GOALKEEPERS

Pushing funds toward attacking assets could be a smart move ahead of the final stretch. With that in mind, Villarreal’s Luiz Junior (€3.8 million) could be a great catalyst if Ajax and Leverkusen are the next players.

You could link Junior to Barcelona’s John Garcia (€4.4 million), who continues to start for the Catalans. The Spanish team now has very attractive matches ahead of them, so he could be a good option if he opts for cheap.

DEFENDERS

Real Madrid have two pretty good games coming up from a defensive perspective, and that is their cheapest and most reliable option for minutes Dean Huijsen (€4.4 million).

Speaking of cheap options, Alexander Good morning (€3.8 million) is one of the cheapest assets in the game. Napoli have a great match after this and managers can then bench him on matchday eight.

Waldemar Anton (€4.1m) is another player who fits into our defensive structure. Dortmund have a mixed fixture on their schedule, but have historically shown they can keep a clean sheet in difficult games. Once again the UCL managers could bench Anton if necessary in the final round.

Atalanta will face Athletic Club and USG in the final two League Phase rounds, offering good chances to keep a clean sheet. Central defender Giorgio Scalvini (€4.4 million) is one of their cheapest and most reliable choices in terms of playing time.

It can be useful to own one premium defender. No one stands out more than Alejandro Grimaldo (€6.1 million). The Spaniard takes his share of penalties and has returned in each of his previous three UCL matches.

MIDFIELDERS

Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back after some questionable performances, starting with a game against Pafos at home. With Cole Palmer dealing with a thigh problem, the safest route could be to attack Enzo Fernandez (€6.6 million), who returned on matchday 6 against Barcelona.

Matches against Slavia Praha and Copenhagen are difficult to ignore from an attacking perspective. Lamine Yamal’s suspension on Matchday 7 gives teammate Rafinha (€ 9.3 million) the rand. The Brazilian has been their most explosive player in recent times when it comes to goal contributions.

Another team that will have to deal with two bad defenses on matchdays 7 and 8 is Bayern. There are not many midfielders who have achieved more than Michael Olise’ (€8.2m) 19 attacking returns in the domestic league so far, so he could have huge potential.

Bodo/Glimt and Galatasaray are next in line for Manchester City, who continue to impress in attack. That is of course one of their most effective midfielders Phil Foden (€8 million), who has produced two goals, one assist and two Player of the Match awards in his five CL appearances.

Finding nicely priced midfielders such as Kenan Yildiz (6.7 million euros) helps make an expensive front line possible. Juventus will face Benfica and Monaco, who have been inconsistent at the back, and Yildiz has been the Italian side’s standout forward this season.

FORWARD

Two good games ahead will ensure that Erling Haaland (€ 10.7 million) difficult to rule out. The Norwegian has scored in all but one Champions League match, making him an ideal captain for the future.

After a difficult matchday 6 and 7, Bayern again faces teams that UCL Fantasy managers should focus on. Completing the deadly attacking Bayern duo is the penalty taker Harry Kane (€10.8 million), who has already scored twenty goals in the Bundesliga this season.

The frontline and premium trio are complete, Kylian Mbappe (€ 10.9 million) comes in. The Frenchman has been in excellent form both domestically and in Europe, so going without him could become a problem for rankings and mini-league play.
