Tyrese Maxey is folding back after the surprising joke by Walt Frazier on 76ers

This week, NBA legend Walt Frazier made a surprising joke against the Philadelphia 76ers. During a competition broadcast in the preseason, Frazier responded to Tyrese Maxey and said that last season was the first time he was in a losing team. “It is better to get used to it,” Frazier said. “It doesn’t look good.” Maxey responded with a message to X in which he simply said ‘bet’.

Some may see this as a surprising remark from Frazier. Apart from the context, it seems like a fairly unprecated attack on another player and/or franchise. But if you think about it, it is probably just a good chat between a New York Knicks legend and one of the current franchisesterren in Philadelphia.

There is probably nothing cheating here. Some will want to take offense on Frazier’s comments, but I think it is all fun and in the spirit of competitive character. And to be honest, Maxey’s reaction was appropriate. What he essentially says is: ‘Do you really think my team will continue in a pattern of losing? Well, we will look at that again. ”

Maxey responded to Frazier’s comments

I think Sixers fans are probably proud of Tyrese’s answer here. At the moment it seems to be popular and trendy, among others, NBA fans to want to hate the 76 people and throw them away, call them overvalued and such. Maxey and the rest of this selection certainly hear this sound in the association, and you can believe that they want to silence the haters.

It seems that nobody really wants to put the fact in context that Philadelphia was extremely heavily injured last season. The comments from the sixers that are overestimated and ready to compete again in the coming season all seem to ignore this simple piece of context. And when it comes to those connected to the Rivals of Philadelphia, such as Frazier, they will of course seize every opportunity to carry out their attack on this team.

Well, Tyrese Maxey, for example, will not let this defamation about him and his teammates exist. Sixers fans have to hit the chest next to their star player when they hear him stand up in front of the team. Who said rivalry in the NBA is dead? It is interactions such as those that the hype for the season, the expectation for certain matchups and friendly but intense feelings of hostility among legendary rivals such as the Knicks and 76ers only grow further.
