Two-man Job Now Newcastle’s only route to ‘replacing’ Elite Alexander Isak

If Alexander is leaving Isak Newcastle United, one thing is to be understood that there is no “replacement” by a Like-for-like swap.

There is currently no striker on the market that comes close to him in terms of general skills.

The club will have to replace him with several players, ie in general replaced.

In short, we have to sign two strikers that can split minutes (and that is why we benefit from freshness, in a way that we have not done with Isak), that can replace parts of Isak’s skills separately.

And that is why the idea is that they can come cumulatively during a season with a similar amount of target contributions, general technical contributions, to Isak.

The idea of Jackson, Watkins, Strand Larsen ,, Muniz, Wissa – whoever it is – “replaced” Isak is a bit naive and misinformed. It will be a combination of players, compiled by the total budget that we may deliver by selling Isak, which come together to replace it in general.

It is a very different concept that one of these players is a Straight Swap.

The reality is that all these players we are linked are levels under Isak – in fact they are all closer to Callum Wilson, or even Osula, than at Isak. The Swede is just * that * good.

However, if you take two of these players, let them share minutes and let them dissolve different tactical solutions, Newcastle could easily not find it worse.
