TVK’s Vijay breaks silence on Karur Stampede: ‘Wrinkle in unbearable, indescribable pain’

Hours after a fatal rush at the rally of actor and politician Vijay in Karur van Tamil Nadu, who left more than 30 dead and several injured people, the actor expressed sadness and said that he “wriggling in unbearable, indescribable pain and sadness cannot express those words.”

“My heart is crushed; I am twisting in unbearable, indescribable pain and sorrow that words cannot express. I expand my deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of my dear brothers and sisters who lost their lives in Karur.

In the meantime, Vijay was seen on Saturday evening at Trichy Airport, after a chaotic rally in the Karur district of Tamil Nadu. In the meantime, the demand for the arrest of the actor who has grown the politician has grown, with people who call for action and a judicial probe against him.

More than 31 people were killed and several were injured after a rush during Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Chief Vijay’s campaign rally in Karur van Tamil Nadu on Saturday evening. The incident led the actor-turned politician to stop his speech temporarily, because various public members fainted because of overpopulation. In the meantime, DMK -Minister Senthil Balaji and the district collector visited the hospital to make up the situation.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin said in a position about ‘X’ that he spoke with the ministers and authorities involved to provide help to people in need. The incident took place when the TVK chef gave a speech in Karur. As the crowd was closed, several party workers and those present were reportedly fainted because of suffocation in the midst of the meeting. This in turn led Vijay to pause his speech and to encourage his supporters to make way for emergency ambulances to attend people in need.

The rally was part of the continuous campaign of Vijay in the entire state prior to the polls of Tamil Nadu Assembly 2026.
