Wes Schultz interview (2:21)
Kicking off this UFC Mexico City edition of TTP is our interview with UFC middleweight Wes Schultz. Schultz shares his thoughts on his two stints on Dana White’s Contender Series. First, he dives into his loss to Mansur Abdul-Malik and discusses how his former opponent has found success in the UFC. He then talks about the unconventional entry that got him to the big show. Now with his debut set he sets his sights on Damian Pinas. This Saturday there’s an absolutely fun clash of styles and the man himself is breaking down the fight for us.
Fights, dogs and parlays: UFC Mexico City (17:52)
After an action-packed week in Texas, the UFC remains on the road. This time they head south of the border to UFC Mexico City, headlined by fan favorite Brandon Moreno and short-lived replacement Lone’er Kavanaugh. Plus, co-fan favorite Marlon Vera returns in the co-main event against the fast-rising David Martinez. We’ll be breaking down these fights, as well as some of our other favorite fights on the main card. Plus, as always, we’re tackling you with an underdog and a plus-money parlay that we think will fatten your wallet this weekend. For this segment, everyone odds via FanDuel Sportsbook.
Keanan Patershuk interview (24:30)
Wrapping up this UFC Mexico City edition of TTP is our interview with Unified MMA middleweight Keanan Patershuk. Patershuk says he came into the world of MMA a little later than most. From remodeling houses to backpacking around Asia, it seemed unlikely to anyone but his wife that he would end up in this world. Now that he does, he’s taking names and cashing checks. After righting the ship with a pair of back-to-back victories, he now sets his sights on the Unified MMA middleweight belt. He fights highly touted prospect Hunter Lee at Unified MMA 67 on Saturday.
