Two Maga supporters were removed from the TSU campus after they caused the indignation among students.
Two Maga supporters who took to Tennessee State University (TSU) to debate black students were guided from the campus after they had caused indignation under the student body.
A viral video shared On social media, the chaos catches on TSU on September 23, when two men in Maga hats wear signs with the text “Dei should be illegal” and “all illegal immigrants now deported”, heated debates with students caused. Things quickly became hostile, where students demanded their removal before the campus police escorted the couple of school grounds.
After the incident, the Nashville chapter of the NAACP issued A statement in which the unnamed guests are identified as members of the ‘fearless debates’ group that will spit an HBCU ‘Target’ to spit their rhetoric that ‘reflects a long history of exclusion, racism and systemic suppression’.
“They tried to attract students in conversations aimed at these messages, which were framed as a debate but functioned as a provocation,” the post read.
TSU later published a statement that his students defended and clarified that the group had no ties with the university and was not authorized to be on campus, which led to their removal.
“TSU students have always behaved in a professional and respectful way,” said the TSU statement. “The safety and well -being of our students, teachers and staff remain our highest priority. TSU will continue to maintain the university policy and ensure that the campus remains a safe, hospitable and orderly environment for all members of our community.”
Social media accounts that are linked to the Group Claiming Inspiration from Charlie Kirk and share videos of TSU students shouting, filming and followed while the campus police were blurred away. Images also see signs that are thrown away and turned away, whereby a student is said to hold a screwdriver. Critics in the comments accused the group of deliberately overlooking students with inflammatory rhetoric.
“Why was you in the first place? Entry is a crime,” a critic tweeted. “Yet you will play the victim and monopolize about the death of Kirk. Death threats have been made for HBCUs, and people suspect that they might be on your part of the chessboard. You saw an excellent opportunity to get viral videos. I have never seen a group of people who want to be victims so badly.”
