President Donald Trump, accompanied by his eldest daughter Ivanka and granddaughter Kai, received a thunderous reception Monday night at the College Football Playoff national championship game in Miami.
The crowd at Hard Rock Stadium roared as Trump waved The star-spangled flag before the No. 10 seed Miami Hurricanes and No. 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers started the championship game.
Ivanka, wearing an all-black outfit and sunglasses, placed her hand over her heart as the Trumps represented the national anthem.
Kai, the daughter of the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., had her arm in a sling. Earlier this month Kai, who made her debut in the Ladies Professional Golf Association last November, revealed on social media that she had undergone surgery to repair wrist injuries.

Ivanka’s husband and former White House adviser Jared Kushner and their two sons, Joseph Frederick and Theo James, were also at the game, as was Kai’s mother, Vanessa, according to the Daily mail.
Lara Trump, the wife of the president’s second son, Eric, and their daughter, Carolina, were also in attendance, the newspaper reported.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, was seen on the sidelines of the Miami Hurricanes field.

It’s not surprising that Trump received such a warm welcome in Florida, which he has called home since 2019.
Trump won Florida with 56.1 percent of the vote and Indiana with 58.6 percent in the 2024 presidential election.
In a message before Monday night’s game, Trump wrote: “Melania and I would like to congratulate the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes on achieving the College Football Playoff National Championship.
“God bless the talented players and dedicated coaches, the families who love and support them, and the loyal fans who cheer them on. May the best team win!”
