Former NFL Quarterback Mark Sanchez was stabbed early on Saturday morning in the center of Indianapolis and is currently being admitted to the hospital in a stable state.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, after the protocol by Sanchez, said on Saturday afternoon that detectives are investigating a physical fight that took place around 12.30 in the vicinity of Senate Avenue and West Washington Street.
They have assessed video images who reportedly caught two adult men who are not locals, were injured in what they believe that there was a non-glory of words. One man sustained cracks, and the other, presumably Sanchez, was stabbed.
Both men received medical treatment, with the stabbing victim being admitted to the hospital in a stable state.
“It is the practice of the Impd Public Affairs Office not to identify victims or suspects in incidents, unless the suspect is arrested, charged or sought,” said the statement.
This case will be presented to the office of the public prosecutor of Marion County for a loading decision.
FOX Sports earlier confirmed The first TMZ report that Sanchez was involved in the incident.
“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in a stable state,” Fox Sports said in social media rack. “We are very grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone at this time respects the privacy of being and his family.”
Sanchez was in Indianapolis for his role as a broadcaster at FOX Sports, where he was planned for the Sunday vs. Raiders to call Lucas Oil Stadium.
Before Sanchez switched to a broadcaster career, Sanchez played 10 seasons in the NFL, in particular with the New York Jets, after he was set up as fifth in the 2009 NFL design.

Sanchez married Shameless Actress Perry Mattfeld in Mexico on May 28, 2023. They have a son, Daniel, before their marriage, and welcomed twins in March.
