A popular website that has checked Donald Trump’s golf outings during his presidency has announced that it will no longer only rely on the president’s published schedule to follow his time on the course.
Didtrumpgolftoday.com, who has recorded Trump’s wave habits on a daily basis, posted a statement at the top of the homepage in which the administration accused of manipulating information to hide the health status of the president.
“Golf days are not updated until further notification unless there is a confirmed observation of Trump on the golf course,” said the statement. “The Trump government is actively the story to hide the decreasing health of Trump, including changing his public schedule to discourage questions from the media.”
There is no evidence to support claims of health governments. The announcement followed on a weekend full of speculation about the president’s condition. Trump seemed to reject the rumors on Saturday, but photos of that outing further fed with further conspiracy theories online.
The site initially had the Saturday trip and updated Trump’s estimated by the taxpayer funded golf tab to $ 78.4 million. Since then it has reversed that update and now reported the total to $ 77 million.
During his first term alone, Trump’s golf outings reportedly cost taxpayers around $ 151.5 million. Those estimates are based on a report from the Government Accountability Office 2019, which showed that Trump’s early trips to Mar-A-Lago on average more than $ 3.3 million each in 2017 dollar was probably higher nowadays due to inflation.
