Exuberant Republicans, and at least one prominent democrat, praised the leadership of President Donald Trump on Saturday after the US had completed an attack on three Iranian nuclear sites.
“Good. This was the right call. The regime deserves it. Well done, President @realdonaldrump,” wrote senator Lindsey Graham, RS.C., on X.
Democratic senator John Fetterman, D-Penn., Said that Trump made the right call.
“As I have maintained for a long time, this was the right step of @potus,” he said on X. “Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capacities. I am grateful and greet the best army in the world.”

Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, wrote: “” Peace through strength “means that our existential enemies do not acquire the most deadly and catastrophic weapons that people know.”
And former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz called Trump a ‘peacemaker’.
“President Trump wants in fact that this looks like the Solimani strike – one and done. No regime changes war. Trump the peacemaker!” He wrote on X.
Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said in a statement that the president “made the right decision to hit Iran’s nuclear locations. Iran made the choice to continue the pursuit of a nuclear weapon and would only be stopped with violence.
Senator Tom Cotton, R-ank., Said on X: “Iran has held a terror war against the United States for 46 years. We could never allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. God bless our brave troops. President Trump has made the right call and the Ayatollahs should not be a warning.”

Republican senator John Barrasso of Wyoming, said that Trump’s decision was “right. The biggest threat to the security of the United States and the world is Iran with a nuclear weapon. God bless our troops.”
House speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., On X wrote that the US “Military Operations in Iran should serve as a clear memory of our opponents and allies that President Trump means what he says.”

Rep. Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California, repeated the feelings of Massie.
“Trump hit Iran without any consent of the congress. We must immediately return to DC and voices about @rePthomasmassie and my war forces resolution to prevent America from being dragged into another endless war in the middle,” he wrote on X.
