Troy Deeney has now given his advice to Alexander Isak on how he can be sure that he can get his relocation from Newcastle United to Liverpool.
The BBC Sport expert who explains what needs to be done.
So what do you think Troy Deeney suggested?
Alexander Isak to stop to behave so shamefully and do his best for Newcastle United while he hopes that a transfer could still happen?
Alexander Isak to show his own willingness to make a personal sacrifice and to give up a significant part of ‘loyalty’ money to help a deal by setting a written transfer request?
Hmmm, not entirely.
Instead of advising Alexander Isak to behave professionally, do things well, to have some integrity …
Instead, Troy Deeney advises Alexander Isak that he should be even more extreme with his behavior to try to force a movement!
Troy Deeney gives Alexander Isak public advice via Sun – August 23, 2025:
‘I don’t blame Isak for trusting his agent above the club and trying to force things through by not showing up.
At the end of the day, Newcastle wants what is best for Newcastle. His agent will want a lot independently, but in the end it is his job to do well by his player.
But how they should have played it is how I played it with my agent when I was pushing to return from Walsall to Watford in the summer of 2010.
In Privé my agent said to me: ‘You will have to kick hassle here.
“You are going to train again and you will do all the running, but as soon as a ball is involved, you have to ruin sessions, you have to kick balls away.
“But more importantly, you can’t let anyone on the outside know what’s going on.”
It was really difficult, you would go home and feel guilty, be an advertisement … in training for no reason, burning bridges for people you like.
But you just have to remember who you do it: yourself.
He (the agent of the striker) should have immediately said to Isak: “Go to work, tap, do all the runs, do all that so that you are fit, but as soon as the ball is introduced, claim that your back hurts and you go inside.”
I already knew that Troy Deeney was a reprehensible character, but this shows him even further. Deeney completely shameless and proud of what he has done in the past and to earn a few extra quid from that newspaper, willing to make this audience, brag about how he himself has zero integrity.
How the hell BBC Sport thinks that this is a person for whom they have to pay serious money for his ‘expert’ -they should definitely stop doing this as quickly as possible, especially when they use our (TV license statements) to enrich Troy Deeney.
