Positive signals in the industry after Elmia Caravan Motorhome
There is great joy in the industry after Elmia Caravan Motorhome is arranged on 10-14 September. Although the sale of new motorhomes continues to go well (+49 % this year), it has been slow for the caravans. But the message from the fair is that the caravans now sell better than before.

More and more young people are using AI to plan the trip
A new study by the Ticket for Travel Agency shows that social media have increased the most as a source of travel inspiration between young Sweden in the past two years. According to the survey, 32 percent of Sweden aged 18-29 states that they are currently using social media more to find tips for abroad – especially Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok.
The research also shows that AI is setting up as a new source of inspiration. About 1 in 10 young Sweden states that in the past two years they have turned to AI services that chatgpt to get inspiration and guidance on destinations.
This regards Sweden on vacation as luxury
A new Sifound survey by TUI, carried out by Kantar Media, shows that the Swedes believe that luxury on holiday is a beautiful view and convenience instead of champagne and room service. View of the sea, balcony and a spacious room are at the top of the list of what the Swedes treat themselves when they want an exclusive accommodation on the journey. Luxury accommodation on holiday according to the Sweden:

- Pack/large room (36 %)

Guests grab for light when smart hotel rooms take over

More than half of the hotels feel busy to constantly upgrade their technology. The result is an innovation wave that makes the hotel rooms so smart that guests have to fight to keep track of. Highlights from the report:
- Technology -confusion: Half of the hotels offer an oral technology review at Check -in to help guests navigate between all functions in the room.
- ComfortTech rules: High hotels choose to invest in comfort -strengthening functions such as smart fans and adaptable lighting.
- Human interaction important: 70 percent of the hotels say that guests still prefer to talk to a person, especially when check -in and support.
- Insight into the hotel room of the future: The highest priority is to invest in technology that improves service, such as AI-driven caretaker services, and even robot chefs.
Tourists Sweden has been restored after Pandemin
This summer’s figures show that tourism has made a strong comeback, according to the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. The number of guest evenings in Sweden in June and July 2025 is the highest in at least ten years, while both hotels and restaurants report a higher sale than last year. Apple -tapping during the Apple weekend in the Museum of Kivik
September 20-21 is the time for the annual Apple Weekend at A stone pattern. In addition to the usual wrapped program, an Apple tapping competition will be introduced in the audience on Sunday. Everyone who wants to submit a homemade apple cake that is assessed by a jury based on taste, appearance and creativity. The winning cake is served in the autumn of 2025 in Bistro Kärnhuset. The Nordic Museum opens a new large photo company

New requirements for winter tires will come early this year
From November 1, 2025, the rules for winter tires can be sharpened. Heavy vehicles must then have winter tires on 10 November – 10 April, regardless of road conditions. At the same time, the previously proposed requirement for snow chains is abolished. For light vehicles, winter tires are still required for winter roads, but the period will be extended to 10 – 10 April instead of December 1 – March 31. The new rules in short:
- Lightweight vehicles:Winter tires are required on winter roads, November 10 – 10 April.
- Heavy vehicles:Winter tires are required, regardless of road conditions, April 10 -10 April.
- Snow chains:No requirement is introduced.
The rules have not yet been formally decided, but if no objections have been received before 16 September, the rules may enter into force on 1 November. The question of how long they are given to change from winter to summer tires.
