Last Thursday it was time for Travel News Market 2025 – the major annual trade fair and meeting place of the travel industry in Stockholm. We have been there every time since the start of the event in 2016 and for us this is an important day to maintain and create contacts and collaborations in the industry.

Travel News Market 2025 was organized at the Annex at the Globe. This is a B2B fair (business to business) and an opportunity for companies from the travel industry to meet: destinations, tour operators, airlines, cruise lines but also journalists and travel writers.
Our 9th visit to the Travel News Market
The Travel News Market is usually held in November or December, and fascinatingly we have managed to cover every occasion since the event started in 2016. In 2020 the fair was canceled due to Covid, but in all other years it has been an active and engaging event.

Meetings with destinations and travel organizations
Travel News Market is a day full of meetings with destinations and travel organizations. We usually spend the whole day walking around among exhibitors, both to gain inspiration and to talk about possible collaborations.
This year it was one extremely intensive and educational day. We met many destinations, tour companies, travel writers and friends. It was so intense that we barely had time to take pictures.
We spoke to France, Greece, Kosovo, Croatia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria, among others, but also to various hotels and cruise lines.
Get to know the travel news market
For us, it’s not just about networking with destinations and travel companies, but also about staying in touch with other travel writers. We met a lot of journalists and bloggers (also from Norway and Finland!), but unfortunately there weren’t many photos because we were so busy talking… Marlene and Martin from Jikitas on Adventure at least it got into the picture!
