The Swedes suffer from this the most during the holidays
Sunbed dust has long been seen as the biggest annoyance for many holidaymakers. This irritates Swedes the most in hotels abroad:

- Poor sound insulation (39%)
- Uncomfortable bed or pillow (36%)
- Noisy or boisterous guests (33%)
- Inattentive or rude staff (29%)
- Construction sites next to the hotel (26%)
- Tourists taking sunbeds (26%)
- Noisy/rowdy children in the hotel (24%)
- Food and drinks do not meet expectations (22%)
- Install Wi-Fi (18%)
- Overcrowded common areas (17%)

Ticket collection 2026: The economy is affecting travel, but not slowing it down
Sweden’s wanderlust will remain strong until 2026, as the economy influences the way travel is conducted. This is evident from Ticket Collection, the latest report from travel agency Ticket on Sweden’s travel behavior. According to the report, bookings are up 28 percent year-on-year, while the percentage saying the economy is negatively impacting their travel has fallen from 45 to 24 percent. Many customize the trip:
- 38% planning to travel outside peak season
- 37% choose cheaper accommodation
- 32% choose destinations where it is cheaper to fly to
- 21% book their trips earlier to guarantee better prices
46 percent indicate that they do not plan to take measures to keep travel costs low, a clear increase compared to 25 percent the year before.
- Fewer people borrow for the holidays – a signal of increased economic stability. Only 2 percent indicate that they paid for their holiday in installments, for example via credit card or invoice.
- Europe continues to dominate – 64 percent of all trips booked so far are to European destinations.
- Affordable alternatives and new favorites are emerging – Poland is the clearest example, where the number of bookings has increased almost sixfold.
- Long journeys are chosen more selectively – Outside Europe, Thailand continues to dominate, while interest in Japan and Vietnam is increasing.

This week’s reflection
It’s great when a destination invests in RV packages! Whether campers book a package or travel freely, it shows that the destination sees camper travelers as an important target group. It’s also nice that Poland, a long-time favorite of ours, is becoming increasingly popular.
