Indisposed (Race 1) and The Big Bang (Race 4) are driven by Michael Hay.
A son of A rock ‘n’ roll danceIndisposed takes a solid win at Hawera on January 20.
“I was really happy with the win… I know he’s seven years old but he’s only just started now, he’s done a great job in that run and has come on in leaps and bounds since then,” she said.
He starts on the second line over 2500 meters.
“He doesn’t have the most fantastic draw, but we’d rather be drawn eight than way off at seven. I’d be shocked if he’s not in the top four!”
The Big Bang, a son of Sweet Lou, will chase a hat trick of victories in The Tank Guy Mobile Pace (5:48 p.m.).
“He’s my pride and joy, I just love him to bits. It’s very surreal to me that he could get a hat-trick,” she said, laughing at the thought.
“He has a terrible draw (5), and he’s doing so well. There’s a month between runs and I think he might be coming into this race a little too fresh.”
“He feels like a million bucks, but I really think he could use this run. I think he would go better on the second day, but you never know with this horse, he has a heart bigger than anything I’ve ever encountered. He knows where the mail is, and he’s determined to get there,” Cadwallader said.
The Big Bang has won three of its five lifetime starts.
Race 1 of seven is scheduled for 4:29 p.m.
