Tottenham are keen to sign AZ Alkmaar’s prolific centre-forward, Troy Parrott. Ekrem Konur.
After coming through Tottenham Hotspur’s youth ranks, the 23-year-old made his debut in 2019 but consistent minutes proved challenging to achieve, leading to a series of loan spells.

Spurs finally decided to sell him permanently last year, with AZ completing the transfer. Since arriving at the AFAS Stadium, the striker has been in productive form, scoring 24 goals in all competitions in his first season.
That form has continued this campaign, with 18 goals in 20 appearances for De Kaasboeren in all competitions, most recently scoring in the 2-2 draw against Go Ahead Eagles on matchday 15, taking his total returns for the club to 43 goals and assists in 67 appearances since his move from Tottenham to the Netherlands in the summer of 2024.
He has also made his mark on the international stage with Ireland, where the Boys in Green needed victories over Portugal and Hungary in their last two group games to secure a World Cup qualifying place in the play-offs, with Parrott scoring five goals.
It appears Tottenham are now eyeing a possible reunion with the 23-year-old Ekrem Konur claims the North London club have expressed an interest in signing the centre-forward.
The prolific striker is on the radar of several clubs for a possible move in January, with Spurs now closely monitoring the situation, according to the report.
Productive progress
After reaching double figures in goals this season, it is no surprise that the Irish forward is attracting widespread interest. The journalist adds that Premier League rivals West Ham United, Everton and Leeds United, as well as Fenerbahçe and Celtic, will compete with Spurs for Parrott’s signature.
Tottenham have struggled to replace the goals and creativity of Harry Kane since his departure in August 2023, without a striker emerging who could consistently mirror the Englishman’s performances.
That problem was exacerbated at the end of last season when Son Heung-min left the club, leaving the forward with a huge void given his status as Spurs’ fourth highest scorer with 173 goals for the club.
Despite heavy spending in attacking areas last summer, none of the additions have really found a productive streak, leading the club to explore other options on the market, with Parrott now being considered.
Parrott is already familiar with Spurs’ environment, culture and principles, and there is growing confidence that he can establish himself quickly if Spurs manage to secure his return, which is likely to cost well in excess of his £19 million. Transfer market valuation.
