We dive into the top rookies per pff to overall figure from week 3 of the NFL in front season 2025. To be eligible, players had to log in at least 25 snaps.
1. CB Keyon Martin, Baltimore Ravens (94.2)
Martin chose Washington Sam Hartman’s quarterback in Saturday’s final and returned 22 Yards for a touchdown to give the ravens a 20-point lead in the vicinity of peace. He only allowed one catch on the day for -2 Yards and ended with a coverage of 93.8 Pff, the best figure among all cornerbacks in the previous season week 3.
Martin concluded the preseason with a general figure of 90.0 pff (third under cornerbacks). He ranked in the top 10 at the position in Pff Run-Defense (81.5) and PFF coverage (90.5) figures, thanks to three tackles and two stops over 36 Run Snaps and four catches allowed over nine goals for 30 total yards.
Together with his Pick-Six, Martin also broke a pass and took four coverage stops against the commanders. He only handed over a 13.4 NFL -Passer rating when he was targeted, celebrated best under Rookie Cornerbacks.
2. LB Marlowe Wax, Los Angeles Chargers (93.7)
Wax made an impact against the 49 people in its strongest preseason match at every level, but after owning a general figure of 58.1 pff that came in the game. As a Run defender, he recorded two tackles, two assists and two stops about 24 snaps, and earned a 78.6 pff Run-Defense figure.
The unsigned free agent allows only one catch for one garden to be caught. He also broke another pass and ended with a coverage of 73.5 pff. As a Pass Rusher, he recorded a bag and a quarterback hit in five rushes, earned a 96.5 pff pass-rush number and generated a speed of 20.0%.
Wax played 158 Snaps this preseason. He generated five editions, including two bags, and made five runnops. In the cover he broke a pass and recorded a coverage stop. He allowed 12 catches on 14 goals for 96 yards and three first downs.
3. Edge Antwaun Powell-Gryland, Philadelphia Eagles (93.6)
Powell-Yryland earned the second highest PFF Passrush figure under Edge Defenders (94.0) last weekend, with a bag and a profit percentage of 33.3% against the Jets about 11 Rushes.
The sixth round pick of Virginia Tech Played 64 defensive Snaps this preseason and earned a general figure of 90.2 pff (bound for the fourth among edge defenders). He is in third place in the position with a 90.8 PFF Passrush figure, registered two pressure at 39 Snaps and recorded a profit rate of 21.4% on real pass sets.
4. S Malachi Moore, New York Jets (92.1)
Moore was able to detect a knocked -out pass from Kyle McCord for an interception late in the first quarter and ended his previous season week 3 outing with an 89.7 pff -covering ratio (third under safety). He also finished as a top five Run defender in the position (79.7), with five tackles, an assist and two stops.
The fourth round pick from Alabama Sharbed as the sixth best safety this preseason (84.2), striking in Run Defense (82.3). Moore only played 31 runsnaps and placed him under qualifying safety in the bottom half, but registered seven tackles (in third place bound) and three stops for a stop percentage of 10% -the highest figure in Rookie -making. Moore is also in eighth place in pff cover (78.4) after recording a coverage stop next to his interception and allowing only one catch for three meters.
5. WR TEZ Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (91.6)
The first Oregon Duck did not play in week 1 of the preseason, but he picked up 68 attacking Snaps on the last two games of the Buccaneers. He had his strongest display against Buffalo, which led the position with a general figure of 91.6 Pff. Johnson was eight times the target and caught 58 meters each. He took a sliding route for 16 meters to close the first quarter and was separated for a touchdown of one meter late in the second. Johnson forced two missed tackles, won five first downs and ended with a 136.8 passer -rating when the target was. Six of his catches came from short goals against zone cover.
Johnson finished as the sixth best Rookie receiver this preseason (80.4) and achieved 12 of 15 goals for 82 Yards and a Touchdown. He ranked in the top 10 in the first win and moved the chains seven times. He was aimed nine times in the short part of the field, catch eight passes for 49 yards and five first downs – and earned a 92.6 pff reception grade (third in Rookies).
6. Di Jr Singleton, Seattle Seahawks (91.0)
Singleton was able to beat the ball out of the arms of Israel Abanikanda in the preseason week 3, which led to a loss of five meters late in the first quarter. He also recorded three run stops and ended the day with a 91.9 Pff Run-Defense numeral (first under interior rulers). He fought through two attacking rulers for a bag and registered two haste, culminating in a 15.0% pass-rush Win Rate for the afternoon.
Singleton connected as the fourth best lineman in the preseason and earned a general figure of 86.8 pff. He amounted to a total of four run stops and was one of the two interior rulers that force a junk, which led to an 84.9 pff Run-Defense figure (second best).
7. Lb Ale Kaho, commanders of Washington (90.8)
Kaho was heavy in coverage, allowing six total yards over four catches while he allowed five tackles and four coverage stops over 17 coverage fiques. He held Quarterbacks for a 79.2 NFL -Passer rating and closed the weekend as the best Linebacker in coverage (91.3). Kaho also forced a mess against the ravens early in the third quarter.
He registered a general figure of 82.7 pff, the fifth best under Rookie Linebackers this preseason. The unprotected free agent arranged in the top 10 of Rookies, both as a Run defender (77.0) and in coverage (74.8). In addition to his forced junk against Baltimore, Kaho registered six tackles, two assists and a run -stop over 38 runsnaps. He was eight times the target of 41 coverage fiques, which held recipients up to 16 meters over six catches, with his longest permitted completion that won six meters. Kaho also added 6 tackles in coverage with five stops.
8. WR Coleman Owen, Indianapolis Colts (90.6)
Owen was perfect in week 3 and caught all five of his goals for 60 yards and a touchdown. He was separated between two defenders for a catch of 25 meters on the third and 7 halfway through the third quarter. His touchdown-catch later came to another third and 7 game in the same period. Owen moved the chains four times and ended with a 156.3 passer -rating when it was targeted.
The unprotected free agent achieved 13 of 14 goals for 124 Yards this preseason and earned a general figure of 79.9 pff. He forced two missed tackles, won seven total first downs and caught each of his seven sun objects for 62 yards. His 79.2 pff with one lid received figure in 10th place among Rookie receivers.
9. WR Jamaal Pritchett, New York Jets (88.9)
Pritchett caught four passes against the Eagles for 54 meters, with his longest handle that won 25 meters. He forced three missed tackles, recorded three first downs and on average 6.5 meters after the catch per reception. Three of his catches came out of goals in the short environment, on which he earned a reception of 90.9 pff. His 25-year win came from an intervening target where he was able to avoid two defenders for extra yards.
Pritchett was the target of seven steps for 70 Yards 15 times in the preseason. Most of his yards came across Philadelphia, when he entered the game with only 16 receiving yards. In general, Pritchett ended with a reception figure of 71.9 pff. He was solid against zone cover, where he secured four of the five goals for 41 yards and two first downs.
10. WR Tru Edwards, Los Angeles Rams (87.8)
Edwards was twice the target against Cleveland and provided one catch on spectacular fashion. The piece came on a fourth and 1 late in the fourth quarter with the rams on the 41-Yard line of Cleveland and down at six o’clock. Edwards ran a rear shoulder route and was able to adjust the Bobbling-Pass and to determine, which was initially bent off while he got out of the borders. He kept his feet within the limits of a pick-up of 25 meters and moved the rams in the red zone.
The unguomed free agent of Louisiana Tech Earned an 82.3 pff general figure in two games played, in 10th place of all recipients. He caught four of the six goals for 57 yards and a touchdown. He achieved two of the three goals with one cover for 30 yards and two first downs, and earned a 90.1 pff reception figure against the man’s coverage.
