According to the prestige Property Index 2024-25 from Marshall White, a mix of young, rising technical wealth, successful IPOs, generation-listening and continuous international migration means that the luxury housing market of Melbourne attracts a broader diversity of age groups.

Mr. Chiminello said that the internet meant that money could now be earned much faster compared to decades ago.

“That lets people, whether in the twenty or 30s, to go and to spend $ 20 million, $ 30 million, $ 40 million, $ 50 million in their first important purchase of real estate,” he said.

He has noted that many mega-successful younger buyers want impressive houses where they can entertain the public eye.

The lawyer of Morrell and Koren-buyer to the top end of Melbourne, Matthew Cleverdon, said that there had been an “important” rise of young buyers in silver-plated young buyers in the last five years.

From arriving at appointments on a skateboard to making their millions by streaming themselves to play online video games, they are approaching wealth and luxury houses in a completely different way to generations of rich listers from the past.

Mr. Cleverdon said that in their early 1920s he had seen more than eight figures for a home.

Steph Claire Smith and husband Josh Miller sold this Brighton East House for $ 7.855 million in 2024. The house has a swimming pool, spa, exbarbecue terrace and 240 bottle of wine cellar. Witefox sales director Lana Samuels and senior advisor Michael Derham have managed the sales campaign.

He has also spent time training well -to -do, yet inexperienced young buyers, who would like to find a house that reflects their success and lifestyle, about buying a stay of millions of dollars.

Without expert guidance, they can’t think much about paying more than the market value of a property if it is in their dream location or is available within a certain time frame, Mr. Cleverdon noted.

“It is very difficult in a world where you can get the most things online,” said Mr. Cleverdon.

“While getting a great house in a great street and a great suburb costs time.”

Zana Pali and her husband Gianni Romano, who now broke up, fired their house in Brighton in 2024 for around $ 10 million.

Fredman director Joel Fredman, based in Brighton, has noticed a higher volume of well-to-do buyers in their thirty and 40-in fields that are as diverse as cosmetics, technology and insurance.

“I am a man in the thirty and sell property and you meet people (the same age) who have budgets from $ 3 million to $ 15 million looking for something high-end, it is quite surprising,” said Fredman.

He has also observed more valid young buyers from Sydney, Perth and Tasmania who wanted to settle in Melbourne.
