The ladies of the ‘Honey Beez’ took the main road in their response.
After the Alabama State University Honey Beez Dance Team was insulted by a Florida A & M University broadcaster, the ladies responded.
During the game of 27 September, Game broadcast Joe Bullard to the Honey Beez as “The New Face of Ozempic.” The Alabama State Honey Beez dancers are largely plus-size. If bullard had expected the audience to laugh after the lightHe was very mistaken. Video of the incident shows that the public immediately starts to fascinate the announcer.

Quinton Ross, president of Alabama State University, also responded to the incident in a post on X, and called the remark “absolutely unacceptable.” After denouncing Bullard’s Dare, Ross spoke words of positivity for the damage Because of his reckless words.
“Honey Beez, please know that you will be celebrated, appreciated and admired for the joy that you take to the Hornet Nation, and also for the daring and fearless way, you represent the very best of ASU. Keep shining because your light cannot be dimmed by negativity.”
Moreover, Marva Johnson, president of Florida A&M University, agreed a public apologization after the old marching 100 -broadcaster, Bullard, made a humiliating half -time remark about the dance group.
“On behalf of Florida A & M University, I extend my deepest and sincere apologies On the Honey Beez, The Mighty Marching Hornets, President Quinton Ross and the entire Alabama State University community.
“The Honey Beez represent discipline, school pride and their performance tradition is respected throughout the nation. To have their dedication and artistry reduced by a thoughtless remark, does not reflect the values or respect we have for our colleagues at Alabama State University or for the broader HBCU municipal community.
Bullard later acknowledged that his comments were hurtful and they called ‘light -hearted chatter’ who ‘excelled a line’ and apologized to the young women, the marching band of the university and fans. He said it was his intention not to respect.
The Fallout reached beyond apologies. The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) fined Famu $ 10,000 and suspended bullard from two football matches, referring to the principles of sportiness and behavioral standards.
