AEW Dynamite hit Pittsburgh only a few days after everything, and the show wore the type of energy that hinted in larger shifts on the horizon. Some stars reinforced their place, others popped up at exactly the right time and looted quietly seeds that could define the autumn trace.
This episode was about subtle resets and timely movements, including a showcase in the birth city, a long -awaited return, a title holder who proves his resilience and new gold that could change the form of the women’s division. Even the main event led a lead that suggested that AW is finally ready to elevate someone who waited at her time.
It all contributed to an intriguing episode of Dynamite. Here are the most important collection restaurants of the show of September 24.
The title shot of Lee Moriarty remains the willingness of AEW to raise new talent
Nobody expected the Hangman page to drop the AEW world championship in a non-Main events segment, even after all.
But the competition still mattered. Open challenges often increase younger talent, giving them exposure to top names and valuable experience. That is exactly what Lee Moriarty’s challenge to be accomplished.
For his crowd in the hometown in Pittsburgh, Moriarty got a spotlight who rarely see most midcarters. The framing as a world of world title showed the willingness of AEW to make him stand up against a top star.
Page kept the belt, but Moriarty came out bigger than he went inside.
The return of Orange Cassidy fills a crucial babyface -once
For the first time in six months, Orange Cassidy returned to Dynamite. Mark Briscoe avoided him, Don Callis teased it with a painting, but when Cassidy walked away, the crowd exploded.
The competition itself did not matter. What mattered was that Cassidy was back.
AEW needs him again. With Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, Adam Cole and Kenny Omega Sidelined, only page and Darby Allin wear the babyface tax in top-hand rolls. In the meantime, Cassidy immediately fills the gap to offer depth.
It feels inevitable that he will return to a title photo sooner, both because of his talent and that AEW needs him there. For now it is just refreshing to see it in the mix again.
Kyle Fletcher recovers with a big next step
After he failed to fail in All Out against Page, the next step of Kyle Fletcher was unclear. Although it is unlikely that he will soon return to that scene, the implementation still elevated him.
When Fletcher walked into Dynamite only a week later, he wore himself as a larger deal, a wrestler who had just received a pay-per-view. He even acknowledged how physically felt he felt out of the page match, a nice touch that contributed to his credibility.
With that chapter behind him, Fletcher moved the focus to his TNT championship. He gave a daring challenge to Hologram, who had just participated in a six-member tag competition: title vs. Streak, set for next week on Dynamite.
It is a compelling matchup with real bets on both sides. Fletcher who drops the title and suffers back-to-back losing would be surprising. More likely, AEW finally pulls the trigger on the end of the undefeated stripe of hologram.
Anyway, the match gives Fletcher the chance to strengthen his reign, while Hologram takes his most difficult test without losing Momentum.
Ladies Tag -titles open the door for more stars
AEW’s women’s division has received a boost and Tony Khan has doubled by introducing the world tag world tag championships. Although there are no tournament sizes or participants yet, mysterious info builds anticipation for now.
The wait lets create AEW Fan -Interest before they crown champions, and that patience makes titles, instead of a hurried introduction.
It now also helps to balance the women’s scene. With Mercedes MonĆ© who dominates as TBS champion and the world championship image floating around Toni Storm, the Tag titles create space for more women to get television time and meaningful effort from themselves. Jamie Hayter, Deonna Purrazzo and Thekla are just a few who can benefit from a job that is not directly bound to MonĆ© or Storm.
The new titles are treated immediately, expand stories and get more women on TV every week.
Kris Statlander feels like a star
AEW shocked fans everywhere by placing the world’s world championship on Kris Statlander. The company rarely does sudden title switches, making it feel fresh.
Her first defense mattered even more. Statlander headed Mina Shirakawa in the Dynamite main event, retained with an assist from Wheeler Yuta and then turned the story on his head.
AEW had plagued that the inhabitant of Long Island joined the Death Riders and she leaned just enough to create doubt. But in the end she made it clear that she was never with them and killed Jon Moxley to drive it home. With Daniel Garcia already back in the group and PAC, they didn’t need any other member anyway.
AEW finally presents Statlander as a star, something that the women’s division desperately needs. For a selection that is ruled for a long time by the same pair of names, her turnout feels like a real reset. It’s too late, but she now has the ball, and what she does with it can define her run.
