Tom Jarvis and Anna Hursey both left the Europa Smash in Sweden in the second qualifying round of their respective singles events.

It only leaves Liam Pitchford behind as the only GB interest in the trek and he will still face a subordeide qualification in the round of 64-the match is scheduled at 5.35 pm UK on Sunday on Table 3.

On paper, Jarvis (WR 84) was fiercely fanced against Simon Berglund, ranked at no. 612. The second was comparable, but in favor of Hursey when she opened a lead of 5-5 and won it with 11-7, but Pesotska was never in the back in the third and three points in a row of 6-6, it turned in her way.

The Ukrainian was never at the back of the fourth, although she had a nervous moment then Hursey closed from 8-3 to 8-7. But Pesotska stayed ahead and won 11-9 to go to the final qualifying round.
