Tom Aspinall has triggered the Paris Boobirds.
Aspinall shared the stage with Ciryl Gane for a UFC 321 press conference in Paris. As expected, Gane received a thunderous ovation from his fans of home country, while Aspinall was seriously stuck.
Aspinall posted a new video on his Youtube -channel where he responded to a hostile territory (via Mmafighting).
“It was good,” Aspinall said. “Nothing special, was it? Just a lot of French people shouting around Ciryl, which was to be expected. Keep it short and sweet, there is not much to say when she just loudly dies loudly every time you speak.”
The reception was not surprising for Aspinall, and he admitted that he could not distinguish a large part from what fans sang.
“A lot of Booing,” said Aspinall. “I expected the Booing. We are in Paris, isn’t it true, of course I am going to be stuck. I have no trouble with it. It is like a circus, isn’t it? I expect that … to be honest, I couldn’t hear half of it. So after a little I just started to forget about the Booing and just to dye.”
Aspinall and Gane are planned to collide in Abu Dhabi on 25 October. The UFC Heavyweight Championship from Aspinall is at stake. This is the first time that Aspinall will introduce a fight as the undisputed heavyweight king. The former interim champion earned that distinction when Jon Jones initially retired instead of continuing with a title Unification Fight.
The title holder is currently a considerable gambling favorite about Gane, which last ended in the end of 2024. Gane took a controversial split decision about Alexander Volkov, who will also compete on the UFC 321 card. The fight of Volkov will be against Jilton Almeida in what could be a title -eliminator for a chance of the winner of Aspinall vs. Gane.
