1926-Babe Ruth becomes the first MLB player to hit 3 home runs in a World Series game while NY Yankees defeated St. Louis Cardinals, 10-5 in Game 4.

1928 – Leo Diegel wins the PGA championship and beats Espinosa 6 and 5.

1956-Oklahoma lays Kansas 66-0 to win a modern university football from 32 consecutive streak. The Sooners had the previous record of 31 set 1948-50. The victory is also a conference record of 54 straight victories.

1963-Baseball World Series: La Dodgers Edge Ny Yankees, 2-1 in Dodger Stadium for Sweep 4-0 Series; MVP: Dodgers Pitcher Sandy Koufax.

1990-Stacey Robinson establishes a NCAA Quarterback Rushing Record with 308 Yards and scores five TouchDowns to Leiden Northern Ishillinois.

1993 – Michael Jordan announces his retirement after nine seasons in the NBA.

2000-Marty McSorley is found guilty of abuse with a weapon for his two-fist stick attack on an opponent by a Canadian court. McSorley is convicted of the battle of 21 February that Vancouver Canucks sent forward Donald Brashear extended to the ice.

2001-Maurice Hicks runs for a record of 416 Yards and four touchdowns, but it is not enough as Morgan State N. Carolina A&T 52-42. Hicks breaks the I-AA Single-Game Rushing Record of 409 Yards set by Charles Roberts of Sacramento State in a 1999 match against Idaho State.

2001 Middle Tennessee State beats Idaho 70-58 while the teams set a Division I record for the total number of points scored in a match. The teams combine for 1,445 meters of attack.

2001-the victory of Michigan, combined with the loss of 32-27 from Yale against Dartmouth, gives the Wolverines the record for all time in all divisions at 809.

2003 – Indianapolis, led by Peyton Manning, becomes the first team in the NFL history that wins after a backlog with 21 or more points with less than 4 minutes over in regulations. Mike Vanderjagt’s 29-Yard Field goal with 3:47 In the extra period, the Colts gives a 38-35 victory over Tampa Bay.

2007-Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech establishes the NCAA record for TouchDown receptions by a first-year student with a 32-Yard scoring catch in a 42-17 win over Iowa State. Crabtree scores three times against the cyclones and gives him 17 for the season.

2010-Roy Halladay throws the second No-Hitter in the history of the Postseason and leads the Philadelphia Phillies about the Cincinnati Reds 4-0 in Game 1 of the NL Division Series.

2013 – Tiger Woods beats Richard Sterne, 1 up, to give the Americans the 18 points they need to win the Presiden Cup for the fifth consecutive time. It is the third straight president cup that Woods wins the Cup-Klinching match.

2013-Matt Prater kicks a field goal of 28 meters as time goes and Peyton Manning and Denver overcome the first 500-Yard game in Dallas History for a 51-48 victory over the cowboys. Tony Romo throws for 506 yards and five touchdowns for Dallas, but he is intercepted by Danny Trevanthan in the Dallas 30 to set up Prater’s winning kick. It is the second highest scoring game in regulation since the NFL AFL merger in 1970. Manning ends with 414 Yards and four scores for Denver.

2017-the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Dallas Stars 2-1 in the inaugural season opener of the franchise. James Neal scores both of the knights in the third period and goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury stops 45 of 46 shots for the victory.

2023 American Simone Biles wins all-round gold at the world championships in Antwerp, Belgium,-is the most decorated gymnast ever with 34 world and Olympic medals.
