TLFG: November 10-16, 2025

Welcome everyone to this week’s TLFG.

Once again I’m pressed for time, so at this stage it’s just match tickets and Monday’s previews.

The past week has been quite eventful.

I managed to get to my first one QPR match of the season against Southampton on Wednesday evening.

Although the R’s lost 2-1, it was a very entertaining second half and I was behind the right goal for most of the action.

On Wednesday I went to QPR against Southampton

It was also my birthday that day and I thought that result would put me on the back burner, but then I received an email from the Association of Football Supporters to say that Non-League Day were shortlisted for the non-league award at their brilliant performance in London next month – what an honour.

Hopefully I’ll get a game in at some point in the next week, but I’m working on the weekends.

Have a great one!

THE WEEK IS OVER

This week we have another international break, but don’t despair: there is still plenty to happen. In addition to England’s match against Serbia, we also have the bonus of Brazil playing Senegal in the Emirates. Other highlights include matches in the EFL, National League and FA Trophy.

On the women’s side we have the North London Derby in the WSL and also some midweek matches in the Women’s League Cup.

As always, make sure you contact the clubs before traveling in case a match has been cancelled or the venue or kick-off time has changed – this is very possible for some of the lower non-league clubs and development fixtures. Also please let me know if anything is wrong or missing.

Details of all this week’s matches can be found on the following match cards. If you’ve never used them before, keep in mind that if there is more than one match on a specific site, you can only see individual match pins if you zoom in all the way. If you don’t, the Pins will become invisible to each other and you might miss them. To avoid this, you can also scroll through the list of games in the drop-down menu at the top of the map page to make sure you get all the information. The matches are listed from top to bottom in order of date, so that Monday’s matches (yellow pin) appear first and Sunday’s (orange pin) appear last. Games are also ranked by status, so the higher the division, the higher on the list they appear on each day.

Even if you are not familiar with the English league structure, I indicate the level at which an individual league is in the national ‘pyramid’, with the Premier League at the top (level 1) and various minor leagues at the bottom (level 10). Normally a top level game will see an audience of somewhere between 20,000 and 60,000 people. These numbers will gradually decrease as you move up the leagues, until you reach levels 8-10, where attendances of 150 or less are most common.

It should also be noted that the top four levels are for fully professional teams. Level 5 will have a mix of professional and semi-professional teams, while levels 6 to 10 will see the most players paid, but this will range from as little as travel costs at the low end, to several hundred pounds per week at the top.

TLFG DAILY DIGEST

In the next section, I’ll list what I think are the standout games of the week and give some brief reasons for my choice. View the maps above for start times, ticket information and directions.

Monday November 10

Prime Minister of the Isthmian League

Aveley v Welling United at 7.45pm – the week starts with a game of equal importance at both ends of the table. The Millers were relegated from the NLS last season, but are doing their best to bounce back with a win, which will see them rise to third place. The Wings fell with them, but unfortunately things haven’t improved and they are in second place. Tickets cost €14 at the gate MATCH OUT – Aveley now play ninth-tier Benfleet at home in an Essex Senior Cup tie – tickets cost £10 at the gate

CCL Premier South

Sutton Common Rovers v Knaphill at 7.45pm – SCR also suffered relegation last season and dropped to the eighth level this season. They are in the lower mid-table and need another win, but they won’t find it easy here as the visitors can move into third with the win. Tickets must be in the £8-10 category

CCL Division 1

RB Kensington v Staines & Lammas (Middlesex) at 7.45pm – in the 10th tier there is a big relegation six-pointer, with the two clubs sitting on opposite sides of the divide in the 20th and 21st meetings at Northwood’s ground. RBK are two points ahead with a match to go. As far as I know the hosts are the only team in TLFG’s catchment area that don’t have an online presence at all, but I’m guessing you won’t pay more than £8 to get in

Tuesday November 11

Professional Development League

If you want to watch two games on Tuesday, this U21 competition has a few games at lunchtime. Mill wall host AFC Bournemouth at The Den at 1pm (tickets) while QPR entertain Bristol City at their training ground at 1pm – entry is free but you must complete a registration form first. All details can be found here page

EFL Trophy

Bromley v AFC Wimbledon at 7.45pm – the most talked-about match of the evening is this London derby at Hayes Lane. We are currently still in the group stages and the top two from each group of four teams will advance. Stevenage have already claimed top spot, so the winner of this will advance. Curiously, Wimbledon, who currently have one point left, could still go out if this ends in a draw. If a match is tied, a penalty kick follows immediately, with the winner receiving two points and the loser receiving only one. If Bromley win on penalties, they will advance on goal difference. Tickets

National League South

Enfield Town v Salisbury at 7.45pm – There’s another early-season relegation six-pointer at Donkey Lane on Tuesday. Like RBK and Staines & Lammas above, these sides are on opposite sides of the divide in the battle to beat the drop. The visitors are just above and there is a three-point lead between them. Tickets

Prime Minister of the Isthmian League

Dulwich Hamlet v Wingate & Finchley at 7.45pm – the best supported team in the division takes on almost the least supported team on Champion Hill in a true Goliath v David match. Both teams are currently in unusual form. The Hamlet have drawn their last six league matches to maintain their place in the top five, while Wingate have lost just one of their last nine games in all competitions, despite drawing them all away. After the terrible incident which led to the death of a Chichester player earlier this season, the ground is closed while changes are made. Tickets
