So how does a titleistic fitter determine exactly what the optimum peak height of a golfer should be?

That is the fully equipped co-host of Jake Morrow of Golf, who presented himself to Lucas Bro from the Titleist Performance Institute in the episode of this week’s podcast.

Bro explained that his fittings at TPI start with the 7-iron or the driver, depending on what Titleist launches that year. Bro explained that speed is a large determining factor of what the optimum peak height is, so at some point he asks the player how far they want their 7-iron to go. That may mean that he has to explain why the action of peak height for distance will help them shoot lower scores.
