Tin-Tin HO is a European university champion! – Table tennis England

England no. 1 Tin-Tin Ho won women’s doubles gold for the University of Nottingham at the European Universities Championships in Turkey.

Ho and partner Jiaiq Meng defeated Lea & Katarina Strash from University of Ljubljana in Slovenia 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-8) in the final to take the gold medal.

It was an element of revenge for Uon after Paulin & Strazar previously beat England Internationals Mari Baldwin & Jasmin Wong 3-0 (7, 7, 7) in the quarterfinals.

HO and Meng (shown above with coach Kelly Sibley) both also won ladies singles bronzes after reaching the semi-final, where they both lost from one of the high-ranking road Rzyn-sisters, who represented the Warsaw University of Economics and Business.

Ho was beaten 3-2 (11-8, 6-11, 11-7, 5-11, 11-8) by Anna Wegrzyn, while Meng lost in a walkover to Kataryna. Anna then won the final against Kataryna with 3-1.
