Swift Jet ran a very pleasant third place at Ludlow yesterday in the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle. Finn Lambert reported that they had got into a good gallop and he entered the race just before the home straight and stayed well ahead for the last two flights. We would like to go hunting with him but have not been able to find a suitable race and hopefully we will find one soon as he jumps over obstacles like a hunter and has the make and shape of it too. We look forward to him rewarding his patient owners in the coming months.

We declared Mostly Mozart – a two mile handicap – on Saturday at 7pm in Wolverhampton. Sean Dylan Bowen takes the ride again and he has run well on the track in the past during a shorter ride. It seems he has improved recently with a regime change and hopefully he will be competitive in this event.

I am pleased to announce that our annual Adlestrop Club Question of Sport will take place Thursday 19^e February 2026. Once again we are privileged to have our three famous team captains in Sybil Ruscoe, John Inverdale and Mark Pougatch and other sporting celebrities joining them.

This year we are raising money for the Hunt Family Fund – a charity set up in memory of racing commentator John Hunt’s wife Carol, and daughters Hannah and Louise, and we will be holding a charity raffle on the evening.
