Four different players found the back of the net. Spencer Blackwell and Jay Dickman each had two points. Roddy Ross was solid in net, stopping 25 shots.
Matt Crasa got the scoring started just 4:25 into the first. He drove up the left wing and laid down a backhand that slid over Ben Kraws for his seventh of the year.
In the second, Blackwell connected on his 10th of the campaign to make it 2-0. After taking a shot off his knee, Dickman stayed with the play and found Blackwell near the blue paint. The goal was assessed for a possible kick, but ultimately it was decided to stand.
At 5:45 PM, Mitch Wahl put Idaho on the board with his ninth of the year. He took a pass from Francesco Arcuri at the far post and beat Ross. The goal was also reviewed to ensure it completely crossed the goal line. The referee decided that it counted to make it 2-1.
Jake Wahlin extended the lead back to two at 7:38 of the third. After being released from the penalty area, he took a drop pass from Peter Bates and whistled a shot from the left post to make it 3–1.

The Steelheads brought in Kraws for the extra attacker, but Nick Nardecchia found an empty net at 18:54 to make it 4-1.
Wichita earns four of a possible six points and moves three points back to fourth behind Tahoe.
Blackwell scored a goal, an assist and his second match winner of the season. Dickman finished with two assists, giving him five points in his last three games. Crasa scored his sixth goal since coming to Wichita.
Bates extended his point streak to five games with an assist. Noah Beck collected a helper and also gave him points in five straight games. Wahlin scored his 50th career ECHL goal. Michal Stinil had an assist and scored twelve penalty minutes.
Wichita went 1-for-4 on the power play. Idaho went 0-for-3 on the man advantage.
The Thunder hit the road at Iowa on Wednesday to begin a 12-game, month-long road trip. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m
