Three trips I (and maybe you?) are looking forward to following – Travel Friday

The 2026 travel year started with a bang for me. I am currently on Koh Lanta in Thailand for a longer stay, which you can follow during #Thaimout2026. This doesn’t stop me from following other people’s travel plans and upcoming adventures, quite the contrary! Here are three trips I’d like to follow in the future – maybe you too?

Three journeys that I (and maybe you?) are looking forward to following

#1. Lisa/Let’s explore i If

Singapore

In a few weeks my podcast colleague Lisa will go to Kerala in India alone. What kind of thing huh? I wouldn’t have done that myself! I had been far too afraid of possible diseases and other things that could happen at a solo location in a country I have never been to. Maybe things would have gone well if I could ‘warm up’ with a trip to Sri Lanka, which is becoming somewhat known as ‘India light’ (not my words, but a journalist I met last fall).

Lisa has visited Sri Lanka and India and has also talked about India a lot for as long as I can remember. Because she works – and has worked – a lot with India, she has a good insight into the country and its culture. This time, however, it’s not a business trip that looms, but Lisa’s own little getaway. I see it Real I look forward to following!

#2. Towe/Come Fly with Me in Japan

looks like Japan

Another trip I’m looking forward to following is Towe’s trip to Japan during the sports holiday. She goes with her partner and two children the same age as my youngest. Japan is on everyone’s lips at the moment, even in Germany actually, but I see quite a few people going there with children in the company. I am often inspired by Towe and her travels (we both have an extra good eye for Thailand and Great Britain) and look forward to following this special long journey a little longer.

Tips! To follow Towe on Instagram here And blog here.

#3. Gunilla and Christofer/4000 miles in the Atlas Mountains

walk through the Atlas Mountains of Morocco

Some trips and destinations make more of an impression than others, that’s just the way it is. Spending a week with Lisa and me in Morocco, just outside the small mountain village of Ait Chribou in the Altas Mountains, side by side with the Berber people, is an experience we will never forget. Later this spring, our blog colleagues will travel 6,000 kilometers on a press trip to the same place, invited by the same organizers who invited me and Lisa there in 2024. It will be fun to follow their experiences and thoughts about the adventure together Atlas togetherwho, by the way, is an organizer that I can highly recommend. You can follow here 4000 miles on the blog!

Are there any of the above trips that attract you that little bit extra? Do you have any tips for another trip I should take in the future?
