Health officials have recalled 19,203 12-essence cans Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar after they have discovered that they are ‘full of sugar’.

The Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall Of the 12-pack and 24-pack boxes of Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar last month.

Although this notification does not advise what to do as with the recalled soft drink, the FDA comments on its website that recalled products can often be sent back to the store where they were purchased.

If that is not possible, the agency orders to safely throw away the product.

There are no other Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar -Boffers or Dr. Pepper products influenced by this recall, the desk noted.

According to the American Heart Association, men should not consume more than 36 grams or 150 calories of sugar per day, while women do not have to consume more than 25 grams or 100 calories per day.

The first prohibition on its kind comes into effect from January 1, 2026 and lasts at least two years.
