We are big fans of Crazy Craigslist Finds here at Jalopnik. From a flawless Dodge Viper to a 40-year-old Trihawk-Trike, the weirdest and wildest cars can be found on the digital market. Moreover, with countless deserted and unfinished journeys it is also the perfect place to find your next project car with potential. Somehow we have found a list that not only combines these properties, but in a way that might be too good to be true.

After almost a decade caught in a shipping container in West Hollywood, California, this Pontiac Firebird -Cabriolet from 1968 was rediscovered by the owner and thrown back in the sun. Although unfinished, the car has been untouched for more than eight years and is looking for a new owner to make it valuable again.

Before the owner was driven into the container for years, the owner re -painted the car and installed new hydraulics. Although the roof is missing, a new top and other new parts are in hand. With a 350-cubic inch V8 under the hood and 84.279 miles on the kilometer counter, it is yours for $ 22,500.

Perfect Pontiac project?

Named after the insane turbine-driven concepts of General Motors of the 1950s, this Firebird from ’68 is in the middle of the first generation of the pony car. The F Firebird shared the F -platform of GM with the Chevrolet Camaro and was part of the company’s joint answer to combat the Ford Mustang.

Every first generation of Firebird came with an inline six or a V8 directly from Pontiac. This bird has the 350 V8, with the 5.7-liter engine that sends 265 hp to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox with four gears.

The owner did not clarify whether the car runs or drives, and it seems that the interior can still be incomplete. However, a vast majority of his parts remain original and the owner said the floor remains solid. Although it is a project car, it almost seems to be ready and the owner has the roof and interior pieces. For the price of a brand new Hyundai location you could be the one who brings it to the end zone.

What do you think? For $ 22,500 on CraigslistWould you find this “container” a run for his money?
