If you cannot decide what you want to give them, I humbly recommend buying this incredibly detailed scale model from the Honda RA272 Formula 1 car -the first Honda ever winning an F1 race. The production is super limited, with less of these models than most supercars, even. Honda says it will be available in both 1:18 scale and 1: 8 scale; In total there will be 300 examples of the first and only 30 of the last. A total of approximately 4,500 hours were spent on developing the tooling for a model of which they only make 30, and each of these takes approximately 450 hours to complete. It is really a staggering exercise.

The cars are supplied with a small replica of the 1.5-liter V12 engine of the RA272 that has pumped 230 hp. Nowadays those figures sound rather trivial, but that was a lot of strength at the time. Of course it would also yield a motorcycle-high 12,000 rpm, but unfortunately the scale model will not do that.

Each model is accompanied by a tailor -made display case, certificate of authenticity and commemorative booklet signed by HRC President Koji Watanabe.
