Pereira, who regained the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 320 last year, spent New Year’s Eve with Cortez. The two UFC stars were seen kissing and made their new relationship public.
Trolls targeted UFC lightweight Brian Ortega, Cortez’s ex-boyfriend, on social media after the announcement. Luckily, Ortega took charge of the whole thing and supported Cortez’s new love life.
Pereira confused fans when he recently announced on Instagram that he and Cortez are no longer together.
“Thank you to my fans for all the love,” Pereira said in a statement. “I would like to communicate to you that although Tracy and I have shared some great moments together, we have decided that it would be better for both of us to go our separate ways. I wish her nothing but the best on her journey.”
