- The racing-inspired interior completes the unique construction.
The Jeep Renegade has never exactly had a glowing reputation. It was the cheapest and least capable SUV in the Jeep lineup, so much so that it didn’t even make it past the 2023 model year due to weak demand. Performance was never part of the plan either, but one owner clearly didn’t get the memo.
This particular Renegade has been turned into a full-fledged performance monster. It delivers over 500 horsepower, features an aggressive widebody kit and features a custom, race-inspired interior. And it absolutely rules. The brains behind the build are Instagram user lunchie_bwho decided to push Jeep’s smallest SUV far beyond anything it was ever intended to be.
The real shocker is under the hood. Instead of the Renegade’s usual underwhelming four-cylinder engine, this thing now has a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 – the same engine you’ll find in the Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Ram 1500.
Although the exact power output has not been revealed, the stock Hemi already produces almost 400 hp. Add to that a long list of performance upgrades and it’s easy to believe that this Renegade is well over the 500-hp mark.
Of course, packing so much power into a small SUV meant the upgrades couldn’t stop at the engine bay. The owner also swapped the differential and six-piston Brembo brakes from a Hellcat, effectively converting the Renegade to rear-wheel drive. That means muscle car performance and braking power levels, but it also meant extensive structural changes and a lot of customization to make it all work.
The look is as wild as the mechanics. The Renegade was completely redesigned with a radical widebody kit, huge flared fenders, new bumpers and a stance that looks more like a SEMA show car than a city-friendly crossover. It even has the same wheel and tire configuration as the Challenger and Charger Hellcat: 275/40 R20s up front and 305/35 R20s in the rear.
Many of the custom parts were created using 3D printing, allowing the builder to create one-off components perfectly tailored to the project. From structural fixings to fine finishing details, these are things you simply can’t buy off the shelf.
The transformation continues inside. The factory seats are gone, replaced with Sparco racing buckets, and extra gauges have been added to the pillar to monitor the engine’s vitals. The wiring, controls and even the automatic shifter are borrowed from a Dodge Charger.
There’s no word on how much it will cost to build, but honestly, that almost doesn’t matter. What does matter is the end result: a Jeep Renegade that’s unlike anything else on the road.
